Alex M.O.R.P.H. collaborates with Driftmoon to pay homage to R2D2

Hot on the heels of his collaboration with Argentina’s Heatbeat for Amistad and continuing with the cinematic theme, German trance producer Alex M.O.R.P.H. has collaborated with Czech rising star Driftmoon to give us their new track, R2D2.

Together, they have crafted a compilation that is destined to capture the imagination of the party crowd who are looking to leave 2015 behind and dive headfirst into 2016.

The two track compilation, which consists of an Original Mix as well as an Instrumental Mix, is seen as a homage to everyone’s favourite blue and white droid and a mainstay of the Star Wars franchise.

The Original Mix, which spans just a shade below 6 minutes in length, incorporates vocals that are almost tribal in nature along with R2D2-esque blips, rising riffs and a big room drop which makes this track a dance-floor oriented offering.

In a similar fashion, the Instrumental Mix retains almost all of the aspects of the Original Mix while omitting the vocals so as to present a “pure and unadulterated” version to the masses within the same length of time.

Overall, this compilation is geared towards getting a rise from the crowd on the dance-floor and incorporates elements of commercial and big room trance which will surely delight the masses.

Tracklist:

01: ‘R2D2’ (Original Mix)
02: ‘R2D2’ (Instrumental Mix)

R2D2 is produced and released by Paul van Dyk’s legendary Vandit Records and is available for purchase from Beatport and all other online stores from the 11th of January.
