‘SOLARSTONE PRESENTS PURE TRANCE V5’…For those who like it Pure!

Pure Trance V5 Compilation is out!

It’s that time of the year once again where one of the true legends of the Trance scene and the architect of the ‘Pure Trance’ movement takes us on yet another spellbinding journey that showcases the true sound of Pure Trance and all it stands for. Having unveiled 4 incredible compilations thus far, the annual ‘Pure Trance’ compilation series enters its 5th instalment and once again, proves exactly why it is always one of the most anticipated Trance compilations of the year.

Pure Trance Movement is now 6 years old

6 years since its inception, the growth of the ‘Pure Trance’ movement cannot be understated by any means. What started off as one artist’s musical vision, backed by like minded fellow artists & individuals in the industry has grown organically and transformed itself into an unmistakable identity in modern day Trance. Initially dwelling at its fringes,it has gradually moved to the epicentre of today’s Trance scene. ‘Pure Trance’ club nights have been taking place all over the world, Pure Trance recordings has been one of the most consistent labels in recent times releasing one quality track after another and there’s been no signs of ever slowing down. The legion of ‘Pure Trance’ fans has been expanding rapidly across the globe (Just look out for the amount of people wearing Pure Trance merchandise at the next Trance event you head to and you’ll see what we’re talking about!) and the demand for the sound of ‘Pure Trance’ has never been higher. And just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, through its ‘V5’ release, Pure Trance is raising its game, upping its ante and – again – kicking things up a notch!

Pure Trance V5 in detail

Following in the footsteps of the previous 4 editions of the Pure Trance compilations which included a co-mixer, Orkidea on Vol.1, Giuseppe Ottaviani on Vol.2, Bryan Kearney on Vol.3 & Gai Barone on Vol. 4, Pure Trance V5 continues this tradition…but takes it to another level. Joining the Pure Trance role of honour in 2016 are not one but 2 co-mixers making V5 a 3 disc compilation for the first time! Disc 1 of V5 see’s Brendan LaBonte, better known to the world of Trance as ‘Forerunners’ taking charge of a journey through the deeper, progressive end of the Trance spectrum while Disc 3 see’s one of Trance’s ever dependable front-liners, Sneijder, dishin’ out a power packed mix of Tech & uplifting Trance to complete the Pure Trance journey. In doing so, Pure Trance the album has been recast in the image of a typical Pure Trance club night. It‘s moved from a twin to a three-disc/mix, giving it the ability to comprehensively reflect the beginning-to end experience of a Pure Trance night. From the slopes of progressive Trance to the peakier ridges of melodic & uplifting, through to its hard-rocking pinnacle, ‘PTV5’ illustrates the diversity and flow of a perfect Trance night to perfection.

Kicking off the journey of Pure Trance V5, Forerunners provides an excellent ‘opening’ to this Pure Trance ‘night’ by weaving a journey through deep & melodic progressive Trance. Starting off with the soothing melodic vibes of Foxhill’s ‘Supermassive’ the mix first appears to give the impression that it may dwell mostly in the melodic space of progressive Trance, but make no mistake, this mix gets deeper and deeper as it progresses before seamlessly making its way towards a melodic crescendo which lays the perfect foundation for what is to follow on disc 2. Drawing on the production might of the likes of Gai Barone, Nick Stoynoff, Namatjira, Leo G, Horizons, John 00 Fleming, Insert Name & many more, the compilation also includes a freshly minted collaboration between Forerunners & Solarstone himself. While providing the perfect start to the V5 journey, disc 1 also showcases the sound of Pure Trance Progressive, a sub label of Pure Trance recordings launched in 2015 to focus on the progressive end of the Trance spectrum.

On mixing disc 1 of V5, Forerunners said:

I am excited for fans to experience the full spectrum of Pure Trance in ‘V5’. Laying the foundation properly in disc 1 for Solarstone & Sneijder to build upon was key. A lot of passion and preparation went into these discs to ensure we created a lasting piece of audio art that encapsulated the essence of Pure Trance.
